Carpenter

Position 3

Lake Carpenter was the valedictorian of the Butler High School Class of 1995 and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Southwestern Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Social Science and an endorsement in Physical Education in 1999.  He is Senior Vice President at Bank of Western Oklahoma, serves as Minister of Music at the First Baptist Church of Leedey and a High School Basketball broadcaster for paragon tv.

Lake serves on the Board of Directors and currently serves a 2nd presidency for the Elk City Rotary Club.   He has been involved in Rotary since 2000 and has received numerous Paul Harris Fellow Awards,.   In addition to Rotary he is currently serving on the board of directors for Western Oklahoma Family Care Center that covers and serves numerous counties across western Oklahoma. He serves on the board for the Leedey Education Foundation.  Lake is involved in the Elk City Chamber of Commerce serving on the Oklahoma National Junior Heifer Show Committee.

His passion for education and learning has led him to be involved in a number of organizations that affect the youth of today and their future.  He is a founding board member for the Leedey Public School Mentor Program and has been an active mentor.  He has also been on the Miss Elk City & Miss Queen of the West Pageant board since 2001 and a certified Miss Oklahoma Judge since 2010.  He has had the opportunity to see many contestants use the pageant system to continue to grow, pay for their education, and become very successful.  Lake volunteers and is actively in involved in arts education at Red Carpet Community Theatre and is periodically a cast member of musicals and plays.

Lake and the Carpenter family are also involved in agriculture. His farming and ranch operation include running large herds of stocker cattle in addition to cow/calf pairs along with growing wheat and alfalfa crops.

 

Lake has two beautiful daughters, who are involved in a variety of activities. He and his two daughters use their talent at a variety of events for local charities, theatres, and civic organizations.
